Founded in 2014, the Concordia Marine Lab offers hands-on opportunities for students, researchers, and community members to explore and understand marine life.

The facility includes a 2,000-gallon recirculating seawater system housing more than 50 local marine species — from jellyfish to sharks — and serves as a center for education, outreach, and discovery.

Through the Marine Lab Outreach Program, Concordia provides free educational mobile touch tanks and marine science lessons to public schools and community events, helping to foster ocean literacy throughout Orange County.

Since 2016, the program has served more than 20,000 students and community members, with support from organizations including California SeaGrant, the California Coastal Commission, and the Orange County Community Foundation.
