Dear Friends in Christ,
As we enter the season of Lent, I invite you to slow your pace, open the Scriptures, and walk again with Jesus on the road that leads to the cross—and ultimately, to the empty tomb. To aid in that, we offer you a series of reflections on the Gospel of Luke.
These daily devotions, written by Concordia University Irvine Campus Pastor Quinton Anderson, can guide us during the Lenten season. Luke’s careful attention to Jesus’ compassion, his call to repentance, and his relentless pursuit of the lost makes it an especially fitting companion for these forty days of reflection.
Whether you read these devotions first thing in the morning, during a quiet moment in the day, or at its close, my prayer is that they would anchor you daily in God’s Word and draw you again to the mercy and grace we have in Jesus. Lent is not only a season of self-examination, but a season in which Christ meets us anew with forgiveness, hope, and life.
May the Holy Spirit use these devotions to deepen your faith, sharpen your trust in God’s promises, and prepare your heart to rejoice fully in the resurrection at Easter.
The Lord bless you and keep you this Lenten season.
In Christ,
Rev. Dr. Steve Mueller
