- STEP 1: Complete the Concordia University Irvine Study Abroad Interest Form. List any programs or locations you are interested in for the Moon International Center to advise you on your study abroad program options.
- STEP 2: Schedule a Study Abroad Interest meeting based on your availability. You will learn about the study abroad process, requirements, and resources to help you achieve your goals and plans.
- STEP 3: Research your program options and choose your study abroad program based on your graduation plan and study abroad goals. Communicate with your academic advisor about your study abroad plans and courses related to your graduation plan.
- STEP 4: Submit your study abroad program application and pay the applicable program application fee by March 1 (fall semester abroad); and September 15 (spring semester abroad). Approved Concordia Programs include ISEP Exchange, Living & Learning International, Concordia Cambridge, and the Around-the-World Semester.
- STEP 5: Seek Concordia University Irvine Approval by completing the Concordia University Irvine Study Abroad Clearance Form. All students who travel internationally for academic purposes for any length of time are required to complete this form.
- STEP 6: Follow all Concordia University Irvine policies and processes for studying abroad, including but not limited to the following:
- Meet the eligibility requirements for Study Abroad established by Concordia University Irvine.
- Be enrolled in the equivalent of 12 or more units towards degree completion as stated in the Academic Catalog.
- Provide proof of registration in the first two weeks of your semester abroad before the disbursement of any funds.
- Students may use all of their Concordia University Irvine financial aid (except work study, department, and athletic scholarships) to fund the program.
- It is the student’s responsibility to notify the Moon International Center of any changes in enrollment status (ie. adding or dropping classes). Note that a change in enrollment may affect financial aid.
- It is the student’s responsibility to obtain all necessary travel documentation including a passport valid for at least 6 months beyond the return date, country-specific visa, airfare, and any travel arrangements.
