A 2018 Healthcare Management graduate, Kirsten is currently pursuing her Masters in Healthcare Administration at Concordia and works in her field at MBK.

What led you to Concordia University Irvine?

It is a Christian University and has small class sizes.

What influenced the choice of your major?

I have always had the heart to help people but I knew the clinical side of healthcare was not for me!

Which faculty or staff member do you most admire?

I care for all staff but Catherine Sinardi stands out the most because she was thrown into the director position and has thrived. She has a huge heart to help people!

Where have you experienced growth as a student?

I have learned to believe in myself and realized I am smart and capable of anything I put my mind to!

What sticks with you from Enduring Questions & Ideas?

Even though the old and new testament classes forced you to read the Bible I enjoyed it because I got to read the whole Bible from start to finish.

What do you consider your greatest achievement so far?

Graduating from college, getting a job in the company I wanted, and pursuing my graduate degree.

How do you define vocation?

Doing the work that God has planned for you and putting your heart into it.

What would be your ideal job?

To be a manager of a Hospital or Senior Living community.

What is one thing you have most valued about your time at Concordia?

The teachers care for each of their students and are there for the students even if it is outside of the classroom.

What is your favorite Concordia tradition?

I enjoyed the Christmas celebration each year.

Who are your heroes in real life?

My heroes are my parents, grandparents, and boyfriend for giving me the chance to chase my dreams while they stand by my side.
