A first-year student is a current high school student who will be attending a college or university for the first time. Entering freshmen may submit an application any time after the completion of their junior year of high school.

Admission Requirements

To apply to Concordia University Irvine as a first-year student, follow the steps below.

Application Steps

  1. Submit your application
    • See application deadlines below.
  2. Send your Official High School Transcript
    Official transcripts must be sent from the high school, either mailed directly in a sealed envelope, uploaded to the Common App portal (if applying via Common App), sent electronically via Parchment, or National Student Clearinghouse, or in a sealed envelope from the high school hand-carried to Concordia University Irvine (if local).
    Note: Concordia University Irvine grants college credit for Credit by Exam scores. Students may transfer in a maximum of 30 non-accredited credits by exam (AP, CLEP, DSST or IB units).

Note: Applications received after February 15 are reviewed on a rolling basis, and it is recommended that students apply well in advance. Once your application is complete, it usually takes two weeks to receive an admissions decision, depending upon the time of year.
