Master of Healthcare Administration
Today’s healthcare environment is extremely dynamic as it evolves toward future collaborative solutions. The healthcare industry is experiencing changes in government regulations, resulting in a never-before-seen healthcare delivery landscape that requires a unique skill set. A focus on community-based health care has emerged, playing a crucial role in the quality, cost, and access to care.
Through Concordia University Irvine's Master of Healthcare Administration (MHA) degree program, students develop the knowledge and critical-thinking skills required of top healthcare administrators.
- Leadership-oriented. The MHA curriculum is designed around the common competency domains developed by the Healthcare Leadership Alliance (HLA), a coalition comprised of the nation’s leading professional organizations for healthcare administrators. The competencies emphasize the skills and knowledge needed across a wide array of healthcare management roles in the areas of: leadership; professionalism; communication and relationship management; healthcare environment knowledge; and business skills and knowledge.
- Project-based learning. As a culmination of their studies, students complete a capstone project designed to integrate prior coursework and experience. Students act as consultants to healthcare organizations by identifying problems, formulating solutions, and developing plans for success.
- Designed for working professionals. Offered fully online, students can earn the MHA within 24 months while taking one course at a time.
- Faculty who nurture and network. The professors in the MHA program are actively engaged in the healthcare profession, and are committed to the professional development of their students.
