What Our Alumni Are Saying

This program has afforded me a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ, a deeper relationship with my wife and kids, and also a deeper relationship with my athletes and colleagues…I have learned what it means to truly invest time, effort, and energy into these different relationships and have grown closer to each group/person throughout this program.”

-David Svendsen
Varsity Boys Water Polo & Swimming, Atwater High Schooler

The Master’s in Coaching and Athletics Administration program covered aspects of coaching that I had no idea would shape my thinking about coaching. Through many of the courses, sound reasoning challenged my commonsense knowledge. The sheer workload that I took on challenged me to focus more than ever before. The program is truly a one-of-a-kind experience and has provided me with exactly what I was looking for 10 months ago when I first spoke to a counselor.

- Jason Weatherall
Assistant Men's Basketball Coach at East Los Angeles College, Monterey Park, California
Director of Student Athlete Development at Student Athlete Lab

The MCAA program and culminating project has taught me that developing as a professional is paramount in my career. However, this professional development as an educator and coach must be completed with my Christian faith as the foundation.

- Michael Rey Cardona
Head Offensive Line Coach at Cerritos Community College, Cerritos, CA

This program has taught me more than I ever imagined; I have learned a great deal about myself through the coursework and material provided. The professors, faculty, and advisors yielded more out of me than anyone else I have come across. I am thankful I decided to enroll in such a remarkable program.

- Jose Esquivias, Imperial Beach, CA
Fall 2014 Graduate

The information and skills I have accumulated over the course of the program have provided me with essential tools to improve as both a coach and as an individual. Most importantly, the MCAA program has reinforced my passion for coaching.

- Waylon Prather
Strength and Conditioning Coach and Special Teams Coordinator/Wide Receivers Coach at Cambrillo Community College, Aptos, California

The MCAA program has enlightened my core values of instructing and impacting students for a lifetime. I have learned not only from instructors but from peers as well. This program is certainly unique in that the instructors are coaches and former athletes. It is without question that enrolling in the MCAA program has increased my ability to lead and become a better person. I regard this program with high esteem and consider enrolling in the program one of the most impactful events of my life.

- Bart Sasnett
