New Student Orientation

SOAR is for all incoming students - First-Year freshman, transfer students, visiting students, and readmitted students.

Registration & Fees

All new students will be assessed a $150 New Student Orientation fee on their student account whether or not they choose to participate. SOAR is mandatory as the schedule is designed specifically to help you transition positively to Concordia.

Preparing for Orientation

  • Peruse our Student Handbook and Next Steps to Prepare for Orientation. Here you will find information about our residence halls, meal plans, student mailboxes, campus resources, student involvement, etc.
  • Check off the items on the New Student Checklist that you have already completed.
  • Be aware of the deadlines and paperwork required of you.
  • All information and communication will be relayed electronically; therefore, check your Eagles Email consistently to make sure you are prepared for your arrival in August.

Continue checking your Eagles email as relative information on SOAR, HOLDs, and/or housing information will be relayed to you. To expedite your Clearance process, take care of your HOLDs, otherwise, you will be taking care of it when you check-in. Only those students who have completed Clearance can check-in for Housing.
