2019 SOAR Theme
Student Orientation, Activities, and Registration (SOAR) is an opportunity for incoming students to connect with the atmosphere of Concordia’s campus, learn about all the resources at their disposal, and interact with faculty, staff, and students. This year, the SOAR theme is Light Up the Sky. It follows the school-wide theme Illumine Us, which was chosen by ASCUI. Both themes reflect on Ephesians 5:8 “For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Live as children of light.” Light Up the Sky focuses on the joy and passion incoming students bring to CUI at the beginning of the year. They are bright eyed and ready to reach for the stars as they embark on an adventure full of new opportunities and chances to get involved. CUI strives for its students to reflect the Light of Christ, and SOAR seeks to encourage new students to make their college experience out of this world.
