Enduring Questions and Ideas Convocations
Concordia University Irvine is pleased to announce the inaugural season of our Enduring Questions and Ideas Convocation series. The goal of the series is to expose the Concordia community to intellectual experiences not readily available at CUI by inviting speakers with unique perspectives on their fields. The convocation series models serious engagement with enduring questions and issues of local, national, and global significance. Each convocation is associated with one of the twelve great questions that structure Concordia’s nationally recognized Q & I curriculum.
October 31st of this year also marks the 500th anniversary of Martin Luther's posting of the 95 Theses, the event which set off the Reformation. Concordia University is joining Lutherans and other Protestant Christians around the world in celebrating the Reformation. This year’s convocations therefore explore the history of the Lutheran Reformation and its ongoing significance in our own day and age.
We invite you to join us for any or all of the Q & I Convocations. All events are free and open to the public.
