ISO: A Unique Experience
It begins the moment you submit your undergraduate enrollment deposit and culminates in a 3-day Orientation Program a week before the first day of Fall semester. International Student Orientation (ISO) lays the foundation for close friendships and supportive relationships with your peers, staff, advisers, and professors, which is critical to success in your Concordia journey and beyond.
Many of the student leaders and staff behind ISO have spent time traveling and adapting to cultures abroad or came to the United States as international students and thrived. We can understand the complexities and emotions you might be experiencing right now. We are here to pass on all the support, care, and hospitality that we have received to you, so that your time at Concordia can, likewise, be one of growth, joy, and transformation!
Concordia's ISO takes a unique, experiential approach. Blending resource with action, we are not going to make you sit through one informational session after another. Instead, we aspire to craft an experience in which you will interact deeply with your peers, contribute your strengths, tackle challenges together, and apply new skills to scenarios you will encounter as a Concordia student. During ISO, you will have opportunities to explore popular local attractions and shop for essentials to make your dorm room feel like home. Most valuable of all, are the tips and perspectives you will receive from your International Student Ambassadors (ISAs). We look forward to journeying with you!
