In September, volunteers typically focus on removing invasive plant species, collecting seeds and plant debris, pruning plants off of the trail path, and general cleaning and maintenance of the trail. Plants are usually hand-pulled or removed with shovels, and there are multiple locations with different needs. Eric will help everyone identify all the plants we are working with and how to safely restore these native plant habitats. Every task done on this day will be necessary for the Nature Center to meet its goals in conserving the biodiversity of the local natural habitats and ensuring the safety of all visitors at the Nature Center.
