Thank you for joining us for a cleanup in the Upper Newport Bay! At this event, we will be picking up trash in a sensitive salt marsh habitat. Please read through the below helpful hints to ensure you are prepared for the event.
Bring and drink plenty of water. Be mindful of the sun and wear your sunscreen. Make sure to wear proper footwear (closed toed shoes are required, boots are best), and clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty. Anyone planning to eat snacks during or shortly after the cleanup should bring antibiotic hand cleaner. Hand Sanitizer will also be accessible at the site station. This event can get dirty and you may encounter some hazards such as glass/sharps. Tread lightly and pay attention.
