University Statement on Campus Vandalism
In an over-abundance of caution, the Department of Campus Safety at Concordia University Irvine issued a mass notification to the campus community on Wednesday, October 2, 2019 about campus vandalism. The purpose of the alert was, first, for the safety of our students, and second, to request any information leading to the individual/s committing the act. The subject/s etched lines with a sharp object on walls and doors across campus, including a swastika on a gym wall. No students, faculty, or staff were harmed. To date, the Department of Campus Safety has not received any further information, but will continue monitoring any developments.
