Information for returning undergraduate students
- Classes begin Monday, August 24, 2026!
- Opening Worship Service, Monday, August 24- 10:30 am in the CU Arena.
- All students are invited to attend.
- Below is some important information you will need as you prepare for your return to campus.
- Pay special attention to checking and clearing any holds you may have before you return to school.
Holds
Returning students must clear holds placed on their student accounts. Holds may be due to outstanding tuition payments, missing financial aid paperwork, missing health information, or other reasons. Students with holds will not be permitted to move into student housing, make changes to class schedules, or register for the next semester. Additionally, students with unresolved holds after the first week of school risk having classes removed from their fall schedule by the Registrar’s office.
Steps to check and clear holds:
- Log into MyRecords via MYCUl to check for holds.
- Click on Student, then Student Profile.
Holds are listed in the top, right corner of your Student Profile. - Clear your holds prior to coming to campus by contacting the department responsible for the hold:

If a hold remains on your account when you arrive on campus, plan to visit the office responsible for the hold before moving into student housing or attending classes.
Office hours are generally Monday through Friday, 8am – 4:30pm. Offices close for Chapel from 10:30 – 11am on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday.
MyRecords
MyRecords is Concordia’s online service for students.
MyRecords Features:
- View and update your contact information (Click on General, then Personal Information)
- Pay Tuition (Click on Student, then Student Bill)
- Register for classes, check/change class schedule (Click on Student, then Registration & Planning)
- Student Profile (Click on Student, then Student Profile)
- Check holds and registration status
- Review your class schedule
- Access Degree Works
- View Final grades
- Access your unofficial transcript (Academic Transcript)
- Review Financial Aid (Click on Student, then Financial Aid)
To Log into MyRecords
- Go to MYCUl, under “MyTools” find “MyRecords” or go direcly to myrecords.cui.edu
- Enter your full User ID number as your “User ID”. Make sure to use a capital “E” and all of the leading zeros in your User ID number (ex. Е00987654).
- Enter your MyRecords password.
Your password for your MyRecords, Eagles Email and Canvas are all the same.
If you are having trouble logging into MyRecords
- Ensure that you are typing in your User ID “E00XXXXXX” (ex. E00987654) and typing in your password correctly.
- Try using the “Forgot Password?” link. The link will take you to Concordia’s Account Management page. Select “Reset Password”
- Type in your full User ID number including a capital “E” and the leading “0s” (ex. E00987654)
- Click the “Next” button
- You should then be able to reset your password.

Adding and Dropping Courses
Please pay close attention to the add/drop dates listed on the Academic Calendar. These dates will be strictly enforced.
Registration forms are located in MYCUl under “MyRegistrar” and “Registrar Student Forms.” All forms must be complete and are due by 4:30pm (PT) on the deadline listed on the Academic Calendar. Forms are only processed during regular business hours. Registration policies are located in the catalog.
In addition to the add/drop policy, a student who does not attend the first day of class or notify the instructor of the absence in advance of the first class session, may be dropped at the instructor’s prerogative. This is done only for impacted courses (closed courses with students waiting to add the course).
Move-In Info
For new students, Check-in dates and times will be individually assigned. Check-in for all continuing students will be on Sunday, August 23. We will send more move-in information for continuing students in July.
Move-in Q and A
Can I move in early?
Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate early move-ins due to cleaning and maintenance inspections that occur before our residents return to campus. Exceptions to this rule would be students involved in University-approved groups or organizations that have written approval from the Office of Residence Life.
When will I find out where I am assigned and who my roommate(s) will be?
If you did not participate in room selection last spring, we will place you in a housing assignment with other students using the Housing Placement Survey section of your Housing Application and your other designated housing preferences to find the best fit available for you. After you have been placed in a housing assignment, we will do our best to notify you regarding your housing details via your Eagles email by August 1.

What if I have a disagreement with my roommate and do not get along?
You should attempt to work out the problem by talking with your roommate directly. If residents are unable to agree or come up with a workable solution, we encourage you to contact your RA for assistance. Resident Directors will become involved when necessary, and in all cases in which a room change request has been submitted (due to roommate conflict). Room changes will be made on a space-available basis and are not guaranteed to occur. The dissatisfied roommate is the one who is responsible for moving.
Who is required to live on campus?
Those students who are 21 years of age or older at the start of WOW in August are not required to live on campus. Students who are 20 years of age or younger at the start of WOW in August are required to live on campus. Students who are 20 years of age or younger who desire to live off-campus must fill out the housing application on StarRez and choose between the two off-campus options and submit the application by August 1.
What if I lose my room key?
Report any lost keys to the Office of Residence Life as soon as possible. Residents who lose keys will be charged a $75 fine for the re-key which will be ordered for your housing assignment to ensure you and your roommate/suite-mates’ security.
How do I put in a maintenance request?
Any tech, internet, maintenance or furniture work orders can be submitted via the Helpdesk in your MyCUI portal. RES does not supervise these requests.
How do I report a policy violation?
If you are aware of a policy violation you can call the RA on-call phone and you will be assisted accordingly. If there is an emergency please call Campus Safety at 949-214-3000. You are always encouraged to contact your assigned hall RA for assistance as needed. The two phone numbers provided above are open to you 24/7.

Bursar
Student Billing Statement
Your student account contains a listing of all the charges associated with your registered classes for the semester. Any/all financial aid, personal payments, and other credits are reflected within the student account for each semester and can be settled with the Bursar’s Office. Now that you are registered for classes, a billing statement will be available online. Student bills are emailed to your Eagles Email. You may view and pay your student bill online through My Records (select Student, then Student Bill). You will then be directed to Transact billing to view and pay your bill.

Student ID & Parking
Digital Student IDs
Concordia University Irvine digital student IDs are required for the meal plan, library check-out, use of the computer labs, printing in the library and labs, key assist in case of lockout, and package pick-up. As a student, a variety of campus services are available to you as long as you can prove your student status. Students are required to carry a valid Concordia Digital Student ID at all times while on campus.
Digital Concordia IDs can be obtained in the Campus Safety Office at the Campus Safety and Wellness building, Room 117. Additionally, students may apply for a Concordia ID by visiting our get started page. Concordia IDs will be available on your MyCUI App after processing. Digital Student IDs will be accessed and utilized through your MyCUI app. Select your profile photo to access your digital ID card.
Parking
All commuter or resident student vehicles are required to be registered on campus with a valid decal. To apply for a student decal and register your vehicle, please visit the get started page and follow the instructions listed under the “Register a Vehicle” section. Upon completion and processing of your application, you will receive an email through your Eagles Email to pick up in the Campus Safety office.
Bicycles and Surfboards
All bicycles and surfboards that are parked or stored on campus need to be registered through Campus Safety online. Decals are available for pickup at the Campus Safety office during business hours. The City of Irvine also requires that all bikes are registered with the Irvine Police Department. You can register your bike with Irvine Police here.
Slingshot Campus Bookstore and Billing
Slingshot is Concordia University Irvine’s campus bookstore partner, offering Slingshot Choice, a subscription-based service available to all students that delivers all required course materials. New Concordia students are automatically included in this program. Returning students not currently using the platform can opt in at any time. For more information, please visit cui.slingshotedu.com.
Concordia University Irvine has partnered with Slingshot to provide course materials for Concordia students through a new auto-fulfillment subscription model. Slingshot will also operate Founders Bookstore. All of your books, none of the hassle!
Billing
Book charges are billed directly to the student account. In some cases, book charges are assessed after the semester starts. Please note that book payments are due upon assessment to the student account to avoid Bursar Holds.
Opting Out
Students have the opportunity to opt out of the Slingshot book service. Please follow the directions below to opt out.
- Log in to cui.slingshotedu.com with your school credentials.
- Navigate to the “my account” tab.
- Select the ” opt out ” preference from the list.
Accessing Your Slingshot Account
- Visit slingshotedu.com/student-login. In the “Find your school” field type in “Concordia University Irvine” and click on the university logo when it appears.
- Click the Log In button in the top right corner of the home screen.
- All registered students already have an account – use your student login for your institution or your full student email address and student ID as the password.
- View or adjust your course material subscription preference selection under the “My Account” tab – You can also update your shipping preference to ensure books are delivered exactly where you would prefer.
- No need to place an order! If you opt-in on the My Account page, Slingshot will automatically handle everything and deliver course materials to your campus residence or ship all required course materials right to you before your class start date.

Privacy Rights
The Family Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) affords students certain rights with respect to their education records. For information on your privacy rights, please refer to the webpage on FERPA.
If you would like to place further restrictions on what Concordia may share beyond the restrictions provided by FERPA, you may sign a Request to Prevent Disclosure of Directory Information and submit this form to the Registrar’s office.
Other Campus Resources
Academic Advising: Remember to review your Fall schedule and Grad Plan (MyDegreeWorks) in MyRecords and contact your Academic Advisor if you have any questions. All students must resolve holds with appropriate offices prior to being able to make schedule changes. If you do not have an Alternate PIN for Fall and cannot register for classes, please contact your Academic Advisor as soon as possible.

Academic Coaching: The goal of Academic Coaching is to provide students with academic support services that promote active learning and encourage collaboration among faculty, tutors and students within our diverse community. Toward this goal, we assist our students in achieving their academic goals through our academic-support services that include: student-centered peer tutoring, workshops and peer-collaborative small groups.
Wellness Center: The Wellness Center is dedicated to providing high quality medical and psychological care to our students in a private, confidential and safe setting. The staff is committed to the wellness of our students.
Writing Studio: Our goal is to help you become a better reader and writer of your own work. We’re here for you. At Concordia’s Writing Studio, we believe that students in all stages of the writing process can benefit from advice and feedback. Writing Consultants can help you:
