Concordia University Accepting Applications for New Registered Nurse to Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree Completion Program

IRIVNE, CA – May 29, 2007— Concordia University announced today that it is opening a new academic program to help nurses advance in their careers through earning a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). The program will help the more than 80 percent of working registered nurses (RNs) who do not have a bachelor’s degree in their field.

Nursing courses will be held on week nights and weekends to work around nurses’ working schedules. Depending on each student’s accumulated credits, it is possible to receive a BSN in one year over three semesters.

The program, offered through Concordia’s School of Business and Professional Studies, is designed for nurses who have a current and clear California RN license to practice and are graduates of an Associate Degree in Nursing  (A.D.N.) program. Through Concordia, RNs will earn 90 hours clinical experience in a public health setting to prepare them to apply for the California Public Health Certificate.
