Parent and Family Week 2020 will be a unique experience for all CUI students and families to engage and connect during a year unlike any we've experienced. Virtual events and activities are open and free for families to join. Traditionally, Parents Day has been an event for families to come back to campus to catch up with their student's first weeks of college. This year, our intention is to create a week of opportunities for parents and families to experience college life, connect with your student, and hear from faculty & staff. In addition to the events listed below, be sure to schedule a time to video chat or call your student!

The theme for Parent and Family Week 2020 is GRATITUDE. There is much to be grateful for - especially the incredible blessing you and your student are to CUI.

Beethoven, String Quartet No. 11, "Serioso"

The Concordia Sinfonietta is proud to release its first video recording of the semester. Following the COVID lockdown, we return with music by Beethoven, which contrasts silence and sound. This project replaces what would have been a major concert as part of the Beethoven 250 worldwide commemoration. Please note, the Concordia Sinfonietta performed following CUI COVID-19 safety protocols, including physical spacing, masks, and limiting the performance to string instruments.

The CUI Bono Cast is a regular podcast that features lively academic extracurricular presentations and conversations happening throughout Concordia University Irvine. The CUI Bono club started as a volunteer group of faculty and students. The podcast is an expansion of that spirit of service, as it amplifies the work of various groups on campus, from the Living Learning Communities, to the Honors Program, to the Crosswise Institute.
