Music, Worship, Theology Building

Preparing students to become leaders and educators, grounded in the scriptures, and steeped in the wisdom of the Lutheran tradition, inspiring service to others.

The new Music, Worship and Theology Building will be the new home of Christ College Irvine, where we train the pastors and Christian educators of tomorrow. It will also offer our music and worship students acoustically outstanding practice and performance rooms and a professional recording studio, which will help to keep Concordia a world-class Christian music teaching facility.

I accord music the highest place next to theology.

- Martin Luther

Practice & Performance Rooms

The acoustical design of the music practice and performance rooms is being created by the Walters Storyk Design Group, the same firm that created the audio design for the Rio Olympics and did the acoustic design for the newly remodeled Berklee College of Music at the Lincoln Center, the recording studio where Adele recorded her latest album, and many concert halls and music venues around the world.

We are placing music, worship and theology at the heart of campus to create a place for study, creativity, reflection, adoration and passionate seeking with both head and heart.

- Rev. Dr. Steve Mueller, Dean of Christ College

Phase One

Adapt & Improve Phase One: The proposed 38,550 square-foot Music, Worship & Theology building will have two wings with a breezeway connecting them. One wing will have group and individual music rehearsal and practice rooms with outstanding acoustics and a state-of-the-art recording studio; the other will house classrooms and faculty offices for Christ College, Concordia University’s school of theology. Between the buildings will be an Arts Court, providing an exterior gathering location for students and staff.

Help us build a center for educating tomorrow’s church leaders and educators.
