Cindy Steinbeck MA '02
Owner, Steinbeck Vineyards & Winery
Cindy Steinbeck owns Steinbeck Vineyards and Winery in Paso Robles, CA located on the beautiful California Central Coast half way between Los Angeles and San Francisco. She holds a B.A. from Concordia University Portland and a M.A in Reformation History and Theology from Concordia University Irvine, CA (2002). She is a business woman, author, teacher, speaker, mother, and grandmother.
Cindy retired from family life ministry and moved home to the family vineyard in 1997 to farm with her parents in their large wine growing operation. After watching and studying the complex California wine industry, she and her parents founded their winery. Cindy serves as CEO of their family businesses.
Cindy also created a unique offering of educational tours of her vineyard, known as Crash Courses (2003). Guests enjoy bumpy Jeep rides through the family vineyards giving Cindy an opportunity to tell the family’s seven generation story, showcase premium wine growing, and wine making. Crash Courses include an option for a teaching tour of Christ’s words, “I am the Vine; you are the branches” through which Cindy unfolds rich images between grape vines and Christ, the True Vine. Imagery includes being grafted into Christ, healing from wounds, the energy of the vine, pruning, and bearing mature fruit.
Cindy’s passion for the Scriptures, the vines, and the land led to writing and publishing four books. She speaks at Christian conferences and conventions across the United States.
Cindy enjoys living near and working with her two children and their spouses. Her four grandchildren, ages 8, 5, 3 and 1 light up her world!
