Night of Hope

For over 10 years, students, alumni, and our community have joined together to experience this joy-filled event. Night of Hope is a celebration of the arts, a reminder of the Hope we have in Jesus, and a testament to our mission of serving our community and the church.

This year, we are excited to welcome Zach Southall and his band as the main event and bring awareness to Charity on Wheels, a non-profit organization focused on getting homeless people off the street and back on the road to self reliance. The evening will also feature three Concordia student music groups and a musical alumni duo, as well as a Service Fair with local non-profits and opportunity to carry out an important service project for Charity on Wheels.

Join us at Night of Hope where our mission that “Concordia University Irvine, a comprehensive Lutheran Christian university guided by Christ’s Great Commission, develops wise, honorable, and cultivated citizens to serve society and the church” comes to life and our core conviction to be “Relentlessly Hopeful: Concordia is ever hopeful as it carries out its mission in the face of the world’s challenges. Our hope is rooted in the confidence that God in Christ has reconciled the world to himself and that Christ is the Lord of all creation” is experienced in a hope-filled concert event.

Service Project: Help & Hygiene Kits

Charity on Wheels is a local ministry with a simple yet powerful mission: to get people off the streets. Every week, their team goes into the community, building relationships with those experiencing homelessness and offering hope for rescue, restoration, and self-reliance.

One of the key ways they serve is through “Help & Hygiene Kits” filled with essential items for those in need. As Zach says, “You’d be shocked to hear how many stories begin with, ‘I was living on the street, and these guys showed up and gave me one of these Help Bags.’”

Join us at Night of Hope, where we’ll come together to pack 500 Help & Hygiene Kits to donate to Charity on Wheels. Each kit is filled with essentials and packed with love, serving as a tangible reminder that no one is forgotten.

Throughout the evening, you'll also have the chance to connect with other local service organizations that bring HOPE to our community. Click on their images above to get connected.

Join us Friday March 14th and be inspired to share hope with those who need it most!
