CUI also named in three other regional categories by U.S. News & World Report
IRVINE, Calif. (September 11, 2019)—Concordia University Irvine (CUI) ranked 34th in the 2020 Best Regional Universities West rankings according to U.S. News & World Report annual rankings released this week. The private liberal arts University, which had been ranked 37th, moved to 34th beating out other private institutions, as well as some public Cal States and out-of-state public universities.
In addition to being named a “Top Tier” Regional University, U.S. News & World Report also ranked Concordia University Irvine in three other categories:
- Best Value Schools—CUI ranked 27th out of 46 schools in this category in the West. Best value schools are considered universities that offer students the best value by taking into account a school’s academic quality and the net cost of attendance.
- Best College for Veterans—Concordia University Irvine ranked 19th in the West out of 31 Regional Universities. These are top-ranked schools that participate in federal initiatives helping veterans and active-duty service members pay for their degrees.
- A-Plus Schools for B Students—Concordia Irvine also ranked among a group of universities in the West with strong 2020 ratings that accept students with average test scores or a moderate GPA. The category is based on retention rates, test scores, and high school rankings.
