Concordia Hosts Annual Hispanic Leadership Conference

Irvine, CA., Oct. 24, 2022 – Concordia hosted its sixth Hispanic Leadership Conference for community college and high school students on Saturday, October 22. Since its inception, the conference has been encouraging community college and high school students to pursue rigorous academic goals and exceptional careers.

This year, attendees heard from motivational speakers and participated in sessions about choosing a college major, student life at college, paying for college, and what parents should expect. Keynote speaker Concordia alumnus Henry Alonzo MBA '09 emboldened attendees to dream big. The founder of the Adarga Entertainment Group, Mr. Alonzo promotes and produces the work of Latin Grammy Award-winning musicians. Other featured speakers included local Hispanic leaders in business, education, and government, many of them first-generation college graduates.

Multiple Orange County public schools sent buses of students and family members to Concordia for this inspiring day. The conference concluded with a college information fair and U.S. military recruiters.
