Business Administration Core
ECO 201 A survey of the scope and methods of the study of economics; the principles underlying the production, exchange, distribution and consumption of wealth; and various economic problems. The systematic investigation of the market structure of American capitalism, encompassing the production and distribution of income, welfare economics and current domestic problems.
ECO 202 An introduction to specific aspects of the economy such as households, firms and markets. The investigation of supply and demand in the product market, the perfectly competitive market, monopoly and imperfect competition and the role of government in private economy are discussed. Attention will be given to economic challenges of the future.
ACT 332 Analysis of financial statements for business valuation and strategic considerations. Ratio analysis and time value of money concepts used in order to analyze the financial conditions of a business organization. Credit analysis and corporate finance issues also covered. Prerequisite: ACT 211.

MGT 324 Students will examine the realities and opportunities of international business in China today. With the rise of China as an economic super-power, businesses must understand China’s 1.4 billion customers in order to survive and thrive as a global enterprise in today’s global marketplace. This course centers on a ten-day study tour in China that provides out-of-the classroom experiential learning opportunities that are supplemented by face-to-face and online readings and assignments. Prerequisite: MGT 321.

As a Business Administration major, you can combine your business emphasis with an additional business emphasis (dual emphasis), a related business minor, another major (dual major), or a pre-professional program. Opportunities also exist where you can earn a dual degree by studying in Paris for a year or transition directly into our MBA program.

Prof. Andy Grimalda
Professor Grimalda brings a wealth of experience as a senior manager and entrepreneur. As a Chief Financial Officer for 13 years, he was responsible for the management of the financial, accounting, human resources, and management information system departments. Prof. Grimalda is a retired Colonel from the U.S. Army and earned his Masters in Management Sciences from the Sloan School of Management, M.I.T.
Prof. George Wright
George W. Wright, CPA, is the Administrative Dean for the School of Business. His background includes exhaustive, global business experience as a senior executive in accounting, finance, and information technology, as well as advanced degrees in Finance and Accountancy. He is a certified Zenger-Miller Facilitator/Trainer focusing on leadership development, change management, and team building.
Prof. Steve Larson
Professor Larson has over 40 years of business experience and has served in such positions as Vice President, Controller, Treasurer, General Manager, and business owner in organizations generating sales of $1 million to $23 billion annually. For the past 30 years he has taught at several educational institutions in the areas of accounting, business management, business systems, and finance.
