Andy Grimalda serves as an adjunct professor in the School of Business and Economics at Concordia University Irvine. He previously held a full-time faculty position in the school, where he designed and launched both the Economics and Data Analytics majors and developed the school’s capstone course. He has also contributed significantly to institutional assessment, serving as co-chair of the Educational Effectiveness Committee for nine years.

Before joining academia, Andy founded and expanded a healthcare administrative services company into one of the 100 largest in the United States. His professional background includes serving as Chief Financial Officer for a regional insurance carrier, the nation’s largest voice and data telecommunications reseller, and a national healthcare management company.

Andy also completed a distinguished military career, retiring as a Colonel. His service included roles as an Army Ranger, Deputy Chief of Logistical Operations for reserve forces, Commander of senior reserve officer warfare training, instructor at the U.S. Military Academy, and Commander of a battalion-size unit during combat operations.

He brings deep experience in leadership, finance, analytics, operations, and organizational systems to his teaching and mentorship of students.
