We are thankful to our good and gracious God for His abundant blessings during Concordia University Irvine’s first 40 years. Many things have changed at Concordia since 1976 when we began the school year with one building, 36 students and five faculty members. We are now a university of over 4,500 students, taught by 155 full-time faculty members on a beautiful main campus with over 20 buildings and on two nearby satellite campuses.
Sports media entrepreneur Ryan ’97 and Lyndsay (Kahler ’96) Ermeling are passionate for music and Concordia, and created a scholarship for music students.
Kelly and Cheryl Keithly have supported Concordia since before its founding. Now, as owners of the largest seed dealer in North America, they have made CUI a primary recipient of their generosity.
Our Strategic Plan Update is comprised of four themes with 11 strategic priorities. The four themes—academic enterprise, student experience, institutional identity and institutional operations—provide the framework that guides our efforts to improve academic quality and service to students, to strengthen our financial position and to communicate more effectively what it means to be a Lutheran university.
Don and Wanda Lahn started an endowed scholarship for students who have lost one or both parents, because of Don's own experience losing his father.
