What do you like to do with your free time?
Since Irvine is so close to many different Southern California beaches, my favorite thing to do in my free time is soak up the beautiful sunshine with friends and go paddle boarding on the coast. I also love visiting Disneyland or going to hockey games to cheer on the Anaheim Ducks!
What is your favorite place to eat around campus?
My favorite place to eat around Concordia University is Barefoot Bowls for delicious acai and fruit bowls and La Vida Cantina for Taco Tuesday!
What do you love about CUI?
What I love most about Concordia University Irvine is the friendly atmosphere and the wonderful sense of community that is offered here. Whenever we have families come visit our campus, the first thing they mention is how welcoming every person is here. I love that I get to come to work to such a happy place every day! I also love the community that Concordia provides for our students. As a student here, there were many things that I could get involved in to help enhance my experience such as student leadership, on-campus job opportunities, sports, etc.
What advice do you have for students going through the admissions process?
My advice for students going through the admissions process is to visit the schools you are interested in! You can research websites and talk to people from the campus, but you will never get a good feel for what the school is like until you actually come see it for yourself.
What is the greatest lesson that you have learned in college?
The greatest lesson that I learned in college is to get involved. It really does change your whole college experience and helps you gain many great relationships as well. The four years go by extremely fast, so make the most of it!
