ACSA Partnership

The MAEd Educational Administration program at Concordia University Irvine recognizes the value of partnerships in strengthening the learning experience for candidates. One partnership that enhances the student experience and overall quality of the program is our partnership with the Association of California School Administrators (ACSA). A special benefit that our candidates appreciate while in the admin program is their Concordia University Irvine-sponsored ACSA membership. Our partnership with ACSA has resulted in countless opportunities for students to grow professionally.

It has been my pleasure to serve as the faculty advisor for our ACSA student charter since 2017. Our charter serves as a model for others. For several years, we have been the largest ACSA charter in the state. The charter meets monthly either on campus or virtually. ACSA Region 17 supports our student charter and as a result students can attend all ACSA Region 17 networking events. The partnership with Region 17 has afforded two of our officers the opportunity to travel to Legislative Action Day (LAD) on $500 scholarships annually. This has been a phenomenal experience for our officers. Visiting Sacramento to lobby on current educational topics and policies continues to be an incredible experience that sets us apart from neighboring universities. The ACSA Region 17 Board is committed to strengthening our partnership and supporting our candidates

Our candidates recognize the advantages of their involvement in ACSA. Most recently an admin candidate took control of her ACSA platform and shared her inspirational story in EdCal Magazine. Mia Young-Adeyeba, a future educational leader, created a virtual space where educators could come together to share ideas and resources during this challenging time of distance learning.
