Who: Guest Speaker: Eileen Padberg – Government and Community Affairs Specialist
What: Eileen Padberg will report on her exciting 22 month effort to enhance the status, business opportunities, and human rights for women in post-war Iraq. Eileen will share her first hand experience of the challenges, cultural resistance and dangers faced by women in today’s Iraq. It is a story of courageous women struggling to achieve human rights and dignity.
“Eileen brings a perspective on women's rights in Iraq from someone who has been on the ground. It is a compelling story,” says Keith Curry, the director of Concordia’s Center for Public Policy.
