UGG Footwear “Passioneer” Welcomed to Concordia University Irvine’s President’s Advisory Council
Self-labeled as the UGG Footwear “Passioneer”, Brian Smith began importing Australian sheepskin boots in 1978. He developed UGG Imports for 17 years and sold the company to Deckers Outdoor Corp in 1995. Smith is now the author of the book, “The Birth of Ugg in America” as well as a public speaker, inspiring others with his entrepreneurial experience.
“It’s a blessing to have such an innovative entrepreneur as part of our advisory council. And it’s wonderful that his daughter cherished her studies while a student here at the university,” commented University President Dr. Kurt Krueger.
