The annual Faith and Business Forum supports Christian leaders of excellence and integrity, encouraging Christ-centered leadership.

Concordia University Irvine today announced details for the 12th Annual Faith & Business Forum, which will take place Thursday, June 25 and will feature a keynote presentation from prominent business executive and author, Bill Pollard. More than 500 members of the business community, as well as church and community leaders are expected to attend the evening event, held on campus at the Concordia University CU Center.

Established to honor, celebrate and foster actionable faith in business leadership and the values of excellence and integrity, the Faith & Business Forum will include the awarding of the Faithfulness & Excellence Award to honoree Kelly Keithly, founder and owner of Keithly-Williams Seeds. New to this year’s forum, a panel discussion with Orange County entrepreneurs Charles Zhang, founder of Pick Up Stix, and Tina Aldatz, founder of Foot Petals, will showcase the unique stories of how faith has guided them through life and business.

As event keynote, Pollard will speak from his impressive experience in business leadership and as a devout Christian. Pollard is currently chairman of Fairwyn Investment Company, a private investment firm, and previously served as chief executive officer of ServiceMaster, a public Fortune 1000 company that provides residential and commercial services under the brands Terminix, American Home Shield, Furniture Medic, AmeriSpec, ServiceMaster Clean, and Merry Maids. Under Pollards’ leadership at ServiceMaster, the company was named by Fortune magazine as one of the most admired companies, and the Financial Times identified it as one of the most respected companies in the world. Pollard has also served on the Board of Directors for several public companies and charitable, religious, and educational organizations including Cadence Healthcare System, Wheaton College, Bright China Social Fund and the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association. He is the author of Serving Two Masters? Reflections on God and Profit, the best-seller The Soul of the Firm, and his newest book The Tides of Life.

Honoring Servant Leadership

The Faithfulness and Excellence Award recognizes an individual who demonstrates visionary leadership, steadfast Christian standards and exemplary business success. Kelly Keithly and business partner Walt Williams founded Keithly-Williams Seeds in 1981 and today the company is recognized as the largest supplier of vegetable seeds in the Southwest. Through his career, Keithly has shown his dedication to serving God and is known to devote time to pray for the company, its customers and his employees.

“Over the past twelve years, Concordia University’s Faith & Business forum has helped establish and foster a community of business leaders who value faith, integrity and excellence by showcasing real stories and honoring those who integrate faith into their business practices,” said Dean of the School of Business for Concordia University Irvine Stephen Christensen. “This year’s forum brings news elements, such as the local entrepreneur panel discussion, and continues the treasured tradition of learning from life examples exceptional Christian business leaders like Bill Pollard and Kelly Keithly.”
