Department of Campus Safety
The mission of the Concordia University Irvine Department of Campus Safety is to provide a safe environment for members of the campus community 24/7, 365 days a year. Our department is staffed by professional, certified Campus Safety Officers and Community Service Officers who seek to provide excellent customer-based services to the community in accordance with the Christian mission and goals of the University. Our Student Safety Assistant position not only gives students an opportunity for employment but also an avenue for them to become invested in the well-being of their community.

Our Services
The Department of Campus Safety offers a variety of services to community members and guests. Our Campus Safety dispatch is available 24/7 to receive reports of suspicious activities and to take requests for services such as safety escorts and room lock-out assistance. Campus Safety is also responsible for the initial investigation and documentation of campus incidents in addition to the traffic management and parking enforcement on-campus.
Campus Safety and Community Service Officers receive state certification, first-aid, CPR, and AED training and work closely with our partners at the Irvine Police Department and the Orange County Fire Authority to maintain a safe and enjoyable campus environment.
Safety Escorts
The Department of Campus Safety provides safety escorts for anyone during the evening and early morning hours and for those who are disabled. Any person needing an escort should contact Campus Safety at the dispatch number (949) 214-3000 and state their name and location. For those requesting a ride from their vehicle, please give a description of your vehicle and keep your emergency flashers on until the on-duty officer arrives.
Vehicle Battery Jump-start
Campus Safety and Community Services Officers provide vehicle battery jumps for community members and guests upon request. Please contact Campus Safety Dispatch at (949) 214-3000 and provide a brief description of your vehicle and your location. Remain with your vehicle while waiting for the officer.
Key Assists
On-duty officers perform key assists for faculty, staff, and students. Other rooms on campus may have limited access. Please observe room/lab hours where posted.
Lost and Found
Lost and found is located in the Campus Safety and Wellness Building Suite 117. After hours, please check with the on-duty officer. If you find a lost item, please turn the item into lost and found.
Hazing Prevention

Silent Witness Tip
The Silent Witness Tip provides an alternate way for Concordia students, faculty, and staff to report crimes, suspicious activities, and other safety concerns to the University and is ideal for those who wish not to disclose their identity.
The Silent Witness Tip is NOT a 911 or emergency service. Reports submitted through this service may not receive an immediate response. If you require immediate emergency assistance, please contact 911 and then Campus Safety Dispatch at (949) 214-3000. For other immediate assistance, please contact Campus Safety Dispatch.
How to Submit a Tip
To submit a tip, open the Titan HST app and click on the tip icon on the upper right corner of the screen. The Titan HST app can be downloaded from Android and Apple app stores. Log in using your Concordia Google email account. A tip can also be submitted through text message by texting “TIP CUIVISIT” and your tip message to number 848-261.
