Are You Ready to Study Abroad?
Most Concordia University Irvine undergraduate students can study abroad with early planning. Students must meet the following eligibility requirements to participate in a semester-long study abroad program. Meeting eligibility requirements does not guarantee admission to a specific program.
Eligibility Requirements
Requirement 1
Be in Good Academic Standing
Students must have a minimum 2.0 GPA and not be on academic probation. Specific programs may have higher GPA requirements.
Requirement 2
Have Sophomore, Junior, or Senior Standing
enrolled for at least one semester and not studying abroad their final semester
Requirement 3
Plan Courses That Support Your Degree Progress
Students must choose courses that fulfill program, major, minor, or elective degree requirements.
Requirement 4
Receive University Approval
Students are approved based on academic standing and student conduct.
Start Planning Early
The best time to begin planning is 6 to 12 months before your intended semester abroad. Early planning allows time to explore programs, review academics, apply, and prepare for your international experience.
