Theology Majors
Biblical Languages
The Biblical Languages Major gives students the ability to read the Old and New Testaments in their original languages. It features an introduction to each biblical language and guides students through readings of specific books and their interpretation. It is an ideal major for someone desiring to enter seminary for ministerial preparation, someone who wants to pursue graduate education in exegetical theology, or someone who wants a deep rooting in the biblical text.
Christian Education Leadership
The Christian education leadership major is designed for students who are interested in a full-time church ministry inside and outside the LCMS. Students may choose a minor in a specific discipline that interests them and will enhance their service to the church.
Theology
The Theology Major provides a well-rounded exploration of Christian Theology including its sub-disciplines of biblical interpretation, doctrine, comparative religions, church history, and applied theology. It equips students to better understand this world, its Creator, and the people who live in it. This is an excellent liberal arts degree that prepares students for further study in a variety of fields or for a more informed interaction with the world.
Theological Studies
The Theological Studies Major offers students the opportunity to study one biblical language along with a broad exploration of the theological disciplines. It combines elements from both the Biblical Languages Major and the Theology Major that equip students for further study and understanding.
