I was born and raised in San Diego, graduating from Kearny High School in 1975. I earned my bachelors degree from UC Irvine and have been married to my amazing wife Mary for 42 years. We have four children (who live in the four corners of the United States; California, Oregon, Pennsylvania, and North Carolina) and five grandchildren. I completed my Masters in Education from Hope International University, and my doctorate from Concordia University, Irvine.

I was a teacher, coach, administrator, and counselor at Calvary Chapel High School for thirty years, and have been an adjunct professor for HIU and CUI. I taught World History, Geometry, College Algebra, and served as the faculty advisor of our Associated Student Body. I created and presented College and Career Workshops, College Financial Aid Workshops, and our annual awards and graduation ceremonies.

Paul Woo serves as a dissertation chair for Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) students and advises doctoral research aligned with program requirements.
