Megan is a Nationally Board Certified educator who has served in public education for over 20 years. She currently works to increase inclusive practices in Anaheim Elementary School District as a Curriculum Specialist. Megan is Google and Leading Edge certified. She holds a master’s degree in Reading Education, an Administrative Credential, a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential, a Reading Specialist Credential, and an Education Specialist Credential with authorizations in GATE and Assistive Technology. Megan taught in general education, after-school, and RSP programs before developing fully inclusive service delivery models. She works to provide schools and teachers with the tools necessary to successfully include all students in Multi-tiered Systems of Support through positive behavior interventions and supports, collaboration, co-teaching, and Universal Design for Learning.
Megan has been an educator since the age of four, when she sat her friends down in front of a big book and started discussing the Story of the Day. She continued down that career path as a classroom teacher and is now a district-level specialist helping others work towards their career goals as well. Megan and her husband, Ryan, are the parents of three phenomenal children. Megan and her triplet daughters are black belts in Karate. Megan thoroughly enjoys reading fantasy and science fiction novels. She has a passion for the neuroscience of learning and behavior.
