Karl Hoenecke serves as the Dean of the School of Business and Economics at Concordia University Irvine. He completed his bachelor’s degree in History at UC Santa Barbara and later earned his MBA from Concordia University Irvine.

His career began at Enterprise Rent-A-Car, followed by leadership roles at New Horizons Computer Learning Centers, where he served as General Manager and Vice President of Sales. He later worked with Great Clips, Inc. and Starbucks in store development and business advisory capacities.

Karl went on to become Vice President of Business Development at TeamLogic IT, a managed service provider, before joining GZ6G Technologies—a sports and location-based event technology company specializing in fan experience and media solutions. At GZ6G, he served as Director of Sales and Operations, leading the IT Services division supporting enterprise and local business clients.

In addition to his administrative leadership, Karl has taught for several years as an adjunct professor in Concordia’s Business School. His teaching portfolio includes courses such as Business Franchise Solutions, Management, Sales, and the MBA Capstone.
