Cari Chittick

Dr. Cari Chittick serves as Professor of Education and Director of Lutheran Teaching Programs and LCMS Placement at Concordia University Irvine, holding faculty appointments in both Christ College and the School of Education. Her work centers on preparing future educators to serve students of all abilities while integrating these teaching strategies across various ministry contexts.

Before joining CUI, Dr. Chittick served as the Director of Special Education and Director of Differentiated Instruction at Concordia University Texas, where she launched and developed programs supporting exceptional learners. She has also designed and implemented special education resource programs in multiple Lutheran elementary schools.

Dr. Chittick regularly presents at education conferences and leads faculty development workshops on topics such as exceptional learners, differentiated instruction, culturally responsive teaching, and integrating faith into instructional practice. Deeply committed to the mission of Lutheran education, she is passionate about equipping future teachers both academically and spiritually.

In her personal time, she enjoys exploring God’s creation and participating in service and mission trips across the globe.
