Brian has worked as a furniture/interior designer and fabricator, and for 20 years he taught Art and Art History in the New York City public high schools. He has also been a visiting artist/lecturer in several places around the world including Austria, England, and China. He has led tours and lectured in New York’s museums, galleries, and cathedrals. Brian has written about faith and art for a seminar with the Luce Foundation and for CIVA SEEN magazine. Most recently he has presented a lecture series examining issues within the Church’s relationship with the visual arts.
His artwork usually involves some assembled or found surface upon which figures and symbolic images are situated. It can be seen at brianfee.net and on Instagram @brianfeepainter.
Brian has a passion for uncovering the particular artistic voice that the Creator has placed in everyone, for His glory and pleasure. All his pursuits–whether painting, teaching, or mentoring young artists–are bent on this goal.
