Arthur Andrews

A man smiling at the camera

My name is Arthur Andrews and currently I wear multiple hats as an adjunct professor at Concordia University, Pastor at Hephatha Lutheran Church in Anaheim, and circuit visitor in the Pacific Southwest District. Over the past eight years, I’ve had the privilege of teaching both the Old Testament and New Testament courses at Concordia. Before this, I was a special lecturer at both Concordia and Hope International University. My academic journey began with an undergraduate degree in pastoral ministries and youth ministry. In 1996, I earned my MTS degree, followed by a master’s degree in MFT in 2001. My career path included several years as a therapist with Lutheran Social Services. In 2004, I became a pastor in the LCMS by colloquy. I have served Hephatha for more than twenty-five years. Before joining Hephatha, I served in various roles including youth pastor, chaplain, and assistant pastor. Throughout my ministry, I’ve been actively involved as a conference speaker, church consultant, and member of various ministry think tanks. My areas of interest span spiritual disciplines, church growth, systematics, C.S. Lewis, missiology, and Christian apologetics. On a personal note, I’ve been happily married to Barbara for over 30 years, and we have two wonderful children. In my free time, I enjoy playing basketball, hiking, working on muscle cars, reading comics, savoring coffee, and most importantly, spending quality time with family and friends. Feel free to reach out to me at 714.227.5039.
