Dr. Josiah J. Rensner (Ph.D.) graduated from Concordia University Nebraska, with a B.S. in Chemistry and Biology and a B.S.Ed. in Secondary Education with a Lutheran Teacher Diploma. He received a Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry from Iowa State University with research focusing on method development to measure antimicrobial resistance using mass spectrometry and distinguish metabolite isomers in mass spectrometry imaging. He joined Concordia Irvine in 2025 and teaches general and advanced chemistry courses. He enjoys interacting with students and helping them see the incredible molecular Design that underlies Creation.
