Biography
Meredith McDaniel, LCMHCS (NC) LPCS (SC) is currently a PhD candidate in Counselor Education & Supervision, at the Townsend Institute, Concordia University Irvine, California. Meredith is the Clinical Director & Supervisor of Milk + Honey Counseling, in Davidson, NC and utilizes an integrated psychodynamic approach blended with Narrative Therapy. She is a local speaker and author who published her debut book, In Want + Plenty (in 2020 with Revell, a division of Baker Books), which guides the reader on a wilderness journey deeper into their story to find their true identity. She enjoys teaching and supervising the next generation of counselors to become ethically minded and skillfully sound. Meredith has a heart for healthy leadership in all fields of helping, which informs her additional specialty of working with leaders who are willing to consider their own story and the impact their lens has on those they counsel, pastor, and lead in the various settings where they work. Meredith’s dissertation & doctoral research center around: abuse of power in the church and the institutional response to reports of sexual and spiritual abuse and its impact on women.
