The next dean is expected to provide effective leadership in advancing the School of Business by:

- Exploring, evaluating, and when appropriate, implementing new academic programs.

The successful candidate will possess an earned doctorate (or equivalent terminal degree) in a field of study pertinent to the programs in business. Full-Time Faculty Positions
Assistant/Associate Professor Biology
Responsibilities may include teaching lecture/lab courses in anatomy/physiology and/or freshman-level biology for majors or non-majors, possibly including core biology courses which are taught in conjunction with core theology. Depending on the candidate's strengths, courses in additional fields of interest such as microbiology, organic chemistry, genetics, or molecular biology may also be available. Other responsibilities will include assessment, student advising/mentoring, office hours, program recruitment, and service to the university and department. An interest in undergraduate research in the biological sciences is desired.
A terminal degree in an appropriately connected area is strongly preferred; evidence of exemplary teaching is expected. The successful candidate will possess a strong understanding of the interconnection between faith and science, understand and value a Christian liberal arts approach to higher education, and be willing to invest themselves in the lives of students. Part-time faculty positions may also be considered.
Assistant/Associate/Full Professor of Business
Concordia University, Irvine, Calif., seeks applicants for a full-time faculty position in its School of Business and Professional Studies. We are primarily interested in someone with a well rounded knowledge and experience of business, who is able to integrate finance and marketing, quantitative and qualitative aspects of a business. Responsibilities also include student assessment/learning, academic/career advising; program/curriculum development; service to the university and department; external communities engagement; research and other academic/ administrative responsibilities as assigned.
Candidates should have a terminal degree in business or a related field and recent, relevant experience in the business world. Candidates must also understand and value a Christian liberal arts approach to higher education and be willing to invest themselves in the lives of students. The successful candidate will provide evidence of exemplary teaching with classroom experience in integrating faith and ethics into business practices, processes and case studies.
The Business Department of the School of Business and Professional Studies includes both the undergraduate business degree as well as the MBA program. Faculty assignment will be primarily in the MBA program. The MBA is a unique program in Business Practice and enrolls approximately 150 graduate students annually.
Assistant/Associate Professor of Chemistry
We seek candidates who possess a deep understanding of the interconnection between faith and science, who manifest a strong commitment to excellence in teaching and mentorship, who value a Christian liberal arts approach to higher education, and who are willing to invest themselves in the lives of students.
A terminal degree in an appropriate area, preferably in analytical chemistry, inorganic chemistry, materials science, or physical chemistry/chemical physics—is required. Candidates must be committed to undergraduate research and provide evidence of exemplary teaching experience.
Responsibilities will include curriculum development, assessment of learning outcomes, student advising, service to the university and department, research, and other academic or administrative responsibilities as assigned. In addition to expertise in chemistry, candidates who possess a strong physics background and an interest in contributing to the development of the physics program are welcome to apply. Interest in online pedagogy; safety and environmental education and management; laboratory, stockroom, and/or financial planning/management skills are also welcome.
Assistant/Associate Professor of Education
Qualified candidates will have specific training and/or experience in one or more of the following areas: educational administration, language acquisition, literacy, curriculum development, and/or instructional methods. Evidence of exemplary teaching experience as an elementary, middle school, or secondary classroom teacher or administrator is expected. Experience in highly diverse settings is a priority. Other responsibilities will include assessment, student advising/mentoring, office hours, program recruitment, and service to the university and department. A master's degree is required, a terminal degree is preferred.
Resident Designer/Technical Director, Theatre
The Theatre Resident Designer and Technical Director organizes and supervises all set construction and lighting preparation for each Theatre Department production and any special events produced by the Theatre Department. This includes coordinating the work of all professional guest designers and student designers for the Theatre Department productions and any special events produced by the Theatre Department; planning of work schedules, ordering of materials and equipment, direct supervision of student workers, and delegation of authority to assistants and student supervisors when appropriate. He/she performs 6 design assignments (set or lighting) for the Theatre Department mainstage productions annually, developing working drawings and daily plans to be executed by student workers. The Technical Director also teaches 6-12 semester hours of theatre courses each year and assists the Director of Theatre Activities with recruiting and mentoring of students in the Theatre major and Theatre minor, particularly those students whose primary interest is design and technical theatre. The successful candidate must possess a Master’s degree in theatre with relevant experience in technical theatre and an MFA in design or technical theatre plus three years’ experience in professional or educational theatre preferred.

Nursing
Seeking part-time instructors who have an earned Master of Science in Nursing (MSN), preferably with two specialties from the following: medical/surgical, pediatrics, maternal/child, psychiatric/mental health and gerontology. Responsibilities will include teaching undergraduate courses, supervising clinical instruction, and advising. While applications from all areas of nursing will be considered, preference will be given to candidates poised to excel in nursing education and working with students.
Psychiatric/Mental Health Clinical Instructor
Immediate opening for a part-time psychiatric/mental health clinical instructor who has earned a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) with current nursing practice in this area of expertise. Responsibilities will include direct supervision of students in the clinical setting, advising, and participation in orientation for self and students to the health care facility.
