Pastor Greg Seltz serves as the Speaker of The Lutheran Hour® radio program. He is the featured speaker on Lutheran Hour Ministries’ flagship Christian outreach radio
program, which airs on more than 1,350 stations across North America as well as on the American Forces Net- work. Before joining Lutheran Hour Ministries, Seltz most recently served as the Director of the Cross-Cul- tural Ministry Center as well as professor of Theology at Concordia University Irvine from 2000-2011.

How to Connect with the Young People in Your Life! Why Millennials and Smartphones Go Hand-in-Hand —
a look at the social media influence that has swept up a generation and how older generations can engage and become relevant influencers. Presented by Veronica Steele, Concordia’s social media “guru.”
Medication Control and Management —
presented by Mila Paunovic, MSN, RN, nursing instructor at CUI. Learn the dangers of drug interactions and over-medicating!
The Prehistory of Concordia Campus —There are three archaeological sites on Concordia’s campus, dating back some six thousand years. This session will explore that prehistoric life at Turtle Rock and include an optional walking tour to the sites. The presenter and tour guide is Dr. Jack Schultz, Professor of Anthropology at Concordia.
SilverSneakers® Classic —Have fun and get fit through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength, range of movement and activities for daily living. Chairs will be available if needed for seated or standing support. Presented by Shae Gawlak of FIT TO BE KIDS...AGAIN!
Identity Theft: What You Need to Know —
presented by Thrivent Financial representative Michael Witkowski. Mr. Witkowski will share tips and tools for dealing with the growing problem of identity theft.
International Volunteer Trips —
Polly Gregali of Lutheran Hour Ministries (LHM) will describe the unique short-term volunteer opportunities to work alongside local LHM staff and volunteers in projects such as outreach events, ministry to children, construction, and healthcare training. LHM oversees all logistical details and manages the project in the host country.
The Sustainable Garden —
CUI Prof. Thea Gavin will share her experience with Eco-system Gardening, a “new, old” way to grow fruits and vegetables by creating nearby habitat with California native plants. Ideas for good stewardship of water and green waste will also be explored; the session will wrap up with a short walk to Concordia’s new Heritage Garden, where these principles are being put into practice.

Do you like to drink an occasional glass of wine? Is a hand full of nuts a favored snack? Do you sneak a piece
of chocolate as a mid-afternoon snack? Come to this lecture presented by CUI Nursing professor Dr. Carol Holt and learn more about their medicinal qualities and why each of these food groups have their benefits and burdens.
