George W. Wright is the Assistant Dean for the School of Business and Professional Studies at Concordia University, Irvine. As a senior member of the School of Business leadership team, the Assistant Dean is responsible for the strategic and operational leadership and direction for the undergraduate business programs and extracurricular opportunities. His primary role is to ensure the continuing growth in the quality and size of the program including recruitment and retention of exceptional staff, attracting diverse students, and involvement of business partners. In the classroom he contributes to the growth of undergraduate students as well as MBA (Master’s in Business Administration) and MAIS (Master of Arts in International Studies) in understanding, applying and presenting the latest trends as well as seminal basics.

Previously, he was a senior IT executive in technology, financial and general management in a $400+ million USD global corporation and it's $24.7 billion USD parent. Major strengths and unique value generation includes creation, implementation and maintenance of successful IT and business strategies, enterprise initiatives, ERP implementations, value chains and business processes combined with project leadership/management and team development. In addition to winning national and statewide awards for accounting applications he is known for his IT, business applications, outsource negotiations and ERP implementation presentations at national and international conferences.
