Lutheran Teacher Certificate Requirements

1. Be a member of a congregation of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod (LCMS)
   
   
2. Complete the prescribed elementary or secondary subject matter preparation program
   
   
3. Complete religious education coursework with a minimum grade of C- in each course
   
   
4. Complete the Multiple Subject (elementary) or Single Subject Credential (high school) coursework
   
   
5. Receive the recommendation of the Concordia University faculty
   
   
6. Complete ½ of the Student Teaching semester in a regionally accredited school affiliated with the LCMS
   
   
7. File with the State of California for a teacher credential
