Jennifer Rizzo grew up in San Juan Capistrano, California. Jennifer played softball and volleyball each for 13 years, including four years as a starter in volleyball both high school and in college at Georgia State. She also spent time coaching volleyball. Jennifer graduated from Concordia University, Irvine in 2003. As a grad assistant she was given the opportunity to teach physical education classes where she fell in love with teaching. At Concordia, Jennifer received her Masters of Business Administration in 2005.
During this time, she obtained four years of experience working at ProSport Physical Therapy Clinic. She then worked for eight years as an Athletic Trainer. Four of these years were spent at Concordia University, in Irvine where she is currently the Assistant Professor of ESS and Athletic Trainer. As an athletic trainer, Jen has worked with high school, college and professional athletes, including the USA gymnastics team during the world championships in 2002.
Currently she is working on her Ed.d with an emphasis in Sports Medicine through the United States Sports Academy, and is also, still, an athletic trainer at Concordia University. In her spare time, Jen climbs mountains, runs in half marathons and bikes.
