The University of Wales Trinity Saint David is Wales' newest university. However there is a long history as constituent colleges were founded in 1822 (University of Wales Lampeter) and 1848 (Trinity University College).
The University is located on two campuses in South West Wales, Lampeter and Carmarthen. On the CUI program, students will be in Carmarthen. Both campuses offer an ideal place to study and to live when you are away from home. The cost of living in Lampeter or Carmarthen is lower that in many parts of the UK. All students receive individual attention from academic staff; much teaching is done in small groups and staff members are very approachable.
The Carmarthen campus was established in 1848 as an Anglican Foundation to train teachers for Church schools in Wales and England. Today, the campus enjoys an excellent reputation for education, the creative, cultural and performing arts, as well as for courses related to the outdoors and community development. It is a small welcoming community of students and faculty. We offer study abroad, undergraduate and graduate program with an extensive range of courses.
The University of Wales Trinity Saint David's Carmarthen campus is an ideal place to study and to live when you are away from home. Having the teaching facilities, information and library services, accommodation and Student Union on one campus makes it a safe and welcoming environment for students. Sweeping lawns and landscaped areas form a picturesque setting for the mix of Victorian and modern buildings, which include all student residences.
In addition to the academic study, the Cultural Experience is a central part of the international experience. It starts when you enroll at the beginning of September and continues throughout your time at the University. When you arrive, the International Office will organize an intensive program to help you familiarize yourself with your new home. You'll spend your time meeting the faculty and getting to know your fellow students, as well as the campus and the town. But it doesn't stop there, during the semester there will be weekly excursions for you to enjoy and fully immerse yourself in the Wales and UK experience.
