Costa Rica The University of Science and Technology, ULACIT, is located in Barrio Tournon, the banking district of San Jose, Costa Rica. It has the official approval of the National Council for Higher Education Private University, CONESUP, since 1987. ULACIT taught in six faculties to twelve schools, fifty-four races at the undergraduate level as well as seventeen graduate programs. The areas of study are Engineering, Business Studies, Psychology and General Studies, Health, Law and Education.

ULACIT was the private university in Central America best qualified in QS World University Rankings from 2011-2013. By 2012 it was also positioned as the only university in Costa Rica included in the ranking, the highest proportion of teachers who holds doctoral degrees. It was also considered one of the forty-one most prestigious universities in Latin America, Strategy and Business Magazine in its issue 130.

Founded in 1737, San Jose today is a sprawling metropolis. Costa Rica's capital and the largest city in the country, San Jose is considered to be among the most cosmopolitan cities in Latin America.

A bustling city nestled inside a tropical paradise; San Jose sits in the center of the country in the Central Valley andis surrounded by gorgeous untouched cloud forests.

Downtown San Jose is the busiest part of town. A maze of streets and avenues, here you can find most of the city's museums as well as a number of hotels and plazas.
