A Word of Encouragement
In John 14:1-14, Jesus comforts his troubled disciples, assuring them that he would take them to be with himself. But the disciples are confused. How can they know the way? Jesus responds, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life.” Jesus doesn’t give them a road map or a detailed list of directions. He gives them himself. He is the way – the only way to God the Father. This is eternally true. He reassures us just as he spoke to his first disciples. We have many questions in these challenging times. He doesn’t give us an encyclopedia of responses to each one. But he gives us something greater. Himself. He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. And He is with us.
In your prayers, remember those who serve in the government that they may make wise choices and lead faithfully.
Chapel continues in our summer term. Each week, a message and a link to music will be posted on the abbey west website.
Blessed is he whose help is the God of Jacob, whose hope is in the Lord his God.
