Guided by the Great Commission, Concordia University is committed to student learning, service, and leadership. The Living Learning Communities do this by creating a progressive residential environment that is supportive of students developing personally, becoming responsible global citizens, and learning for a lifetime through meaningful interactions with faculty, staff and students.
We believe students are the innovators, leaders and community builders of the future who deserve a supportive and challenging environment in which to Achieve, Belong, and Connect. The Faculty in Residence (FIR) position exists to assist Residential Education and Services by fostering and shaping the social, cultural, and educational life within Concordia University Irvine's Living Learning Communities. As such, the FIR will work collaboratively with Residential Education and Services staff to develop avenues for:
- Community development
- Student interaction
- Co-curricular learning opportunities
- Academic success and intellectual development of students living on campus.
